The international Lions convention was held in Toronto July 4 to July 8, 2014. The following members attended the Convention and participated in the Parade: IPP Tony Hung, President Matthew Lyn, 1st V.P. Michael Cheng, 2nd V.P. Hayman Fung, Past President and Secretary Dundas Kwok, Past President Jackie Lai and Past District Governor Kai Ming Kan.

Toronto Cathay Lions Club is the Sponsor Club of Toronto Oriental Lions Club and members were invited to the stage and were properly recognised and congratulated by the International President.

In the afternoon of July 6, members of the Toronto Cathay Lions Club participated in the Harbour Cruise to welcome Lions from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

At night, Toronto Cathay Lions Club invited the members of Shenzhen (Hua Lin) Lions Club of China to a Welcome Dinner at Casa Victoria Cuisine . Twenty three members from Shenzhen (Hua Lin) Lions Club 深圳獅子會 attended the event including President Dai Weilin 載維林, President Yunyuan Zhang 張云源, Vice Cabinet Secretary Li Wenqiu 黎文秋 and Vice President of China Bagualing Lions Club 操應旺. We exchanged ideas, souvenir, enjoyed fellowship and discussed the possibility of Twinning with them.
